Are girls like naturaly proficient at hula hooping or something.?

Ok so at the end of the year gym has a hula hoop tournament for who lasts the longest. Ive been in gym for 6 semesters and i have never seen a guy come even nearly close to winning. and even though i always have like 20000 more guys in my gym period than girls its always ends up where theres like 2 guys and 40 girls left in the tournament like 2 minutes in. i was wondering why that is since like nobody ever even looks at the hula hoops before the contest. my friend said it was because girls are more curvy than guys.
